Tips for travel

Traveling in Thailand is these days very easy. You can either join a charter tour package or just book route flights and go on your own. Accommodation is available to suit many tastes and budgets in all of the destinations.

  • On an independent trip there is plenty of choices for the flights and you can for example fly through Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Hong Kong to Phuket or Krabi.
  • You can also continue the journey from Bangkok by road. Buses operate on a daily basis and the voyage takes about 12 to 14 hours.
  • You can move between the destinations by local buses (cheap, but slow), minibuses (a bit more expensive, but notably faster) or air conditioned taxis (the most expensive but also the fastest choice).
  • Between Phuket, Krabi and Koh Lanta operates several ferries on a daily basis. From Phuket to Raya Yai Island operates several boats which are good to book in advance. You can ask for advice from Raya Divers or from a local travel agency.
