KING CRUISER & ANEMONE REEF - Diving Trip (from Phuket)
King Cruiser wreck was a car and passenger ferry servicing the Phuket to Phi Phi Islands route that sank on 4 May 1997 after hitting a Anemone Reef on its way to Phi Phi Islands. The incredible variety of marine life of the King Cruiser wreck, make it one the most famous dive spot of Thailand. The 85 meters long wreck has four decks and large passages but as the top deck at the stern has collapsed the wreck is now considered unsafe for penetration. Divers can explore the passenger deck level at a depth of 18 – 22 meters and check out the remains of the wheelhouse at the top level. Anemone Reef is another submerged pinnacle nearby and is densely covered with sea anemones presenting an amazing view of sea’s own version of the living carpet.
During the boat trip you set up the dive gear and get a briefing. Upon arrival to the destination you'll jump into the water for the first dive. Lunch is after the dive on the boat and more diving coming up in the afternoon. In between the dives you can snorkel or just relax on the boat.
